The round «Ogovo» box is the final chapter in the Polesskaya Skrynka collection — a quiet yet powerful tribute to tradition. Its name refers to the village of Ogovo, the birthplace of a distinctive folk painting style known for its floral richness, vibrant rhythm, and symmetrical compositions. In the mid-20th century, the Brest Souvenir Factory established a branch there, not to invent a tradition, but to support, preserve, and carry forward the art that had been passed down through generations. This box continues that legacy — not by replicating the past, but by respectfully reimagining it.

Small Form, Deep Meaning

This box fits perfectly in the palm, like a keepsake meant to be held. Its shape echoes the round wooden containers used in rural homes to store herbs, salt, jewelry, or letters. Inside is smooth, untreated natural wood — warm and inviting to the touch. Outside, a rich green background bursts with hand-painted flowers: bold reds, golden yellows, deep purples, with delicate accents in white and soft pink. The painting is done entirely by hand in the Ogovo tradition — a language of floral abundance and symbolic rhythm.

Every petal and border speaks of care and continuity. The box isn’t just a place to store treasures — it is one. A carrier of emotion, memory, and cultural connection. Ideal for rings, trinkets, or simply as a heartfelt gift, the «Ogovo» round box brings with it the presence of something lived-in, meaningful, and rooted.

This is not just an object. It is a message — painted in color, carved in wood, passed from hand to hand across time.

«Polesskaya Skrynka» collection is dedicated to the masters of Western Polesie. All models are named after the geographical points of the region where the tradition of painting is alive. Each item is a piece of a big story.
