Friends, the sixth matryoshka in our collection is here, this time representing the Ponemanye region. The Navahrudak costume is one of the local variations of the Belarusian national dress, primarily found in the Hrodna region, as well as parts of Minsk and Brest regions. Since Hrodna historically developed faster than other regions, its traditional clothing appears less archaic and more modernized. The women's costume is known for its elegance and refined simplicity, featuring a slim silhouette and geometric ornamentation embroidered in red cotton threads. The main colors are green, blue, violet, and deep blue.

Elements of the Navahrudak Costume

Shirt ("harsovka") – Moderate volume with delicate details
Vest ("harset") – Black wool vest with pleated basque panels
